Who is Mrs. Harris?
Hello! My name is Kimberly Harris and I am the Counselor, 504, and UIL Coordinator at Wise Elementary Fine Arts Magnet. I have three amazing kids, Ella, Brooklyn, and Track. My love for the Fine Arts started with my High School Theatre Director, Gloria McLuckie. Theatre is not just about learning lines and putting on a play. Theatre gives one the ability to speak confidently in public, carry oneself with poise and grace and master teamwork skills. I have studied theatre for over 20 years and have been in numerous productions here in Texas and in New York. I have studied with the Texas Shakespeare Festival, Samuel French Festival, Kim Dawson Agency, Marquee Talent, KD Studio Actors Conservatory and more. MasterCard, Motorola, Nokia, Nissan, What-A-Burger and Samsung are a few commercials on my resume. My voiceover and on camera work includes many radio spots, Upshur County Documentary, Encore Multimedia, Gregg Advertising, America's Future, Senese Productions and many others. My love for the arts started early in my education and continued through college where I had the opportunity to teach film and commercial classes to children; this is when my love for teaching began. I am blessed to work at a fine arts school where my love for people, fine arts, and education can be shared through counseling, guidance lessons and UIL. My education resume includes Tyler Junior College, Kilgore College, KD Studio Actor’s Conservatory, American Military University, LeTourneau University and The University of Texas in Tyler with a Masters in Educational Administration with Principal and Counselor Certification. I enjoy working with kids and teaching them what I love! I am looking forward to a great and creative year at Wise!
